Real F1 2014 Season - Off Topic Discussion

And i just saw a new Lotus 2014 design too, but i wont post it here as the picture was tiny, but the nose on the lotus is Digusting, it looks like a 2 pinned fork, yak

None of them are as ugly as 2009 cars. They are not even ugly actually..

Compared to 2009 cars, these are much much better looking. I prefer these noses over any kind of stepped noses..
 
If this is how it actually looks when presented tomorrow... Ferrari gives me faith in humanity again... I hope it'll be faster than all those freaknoses so the rest will follow...

i doubt so, as basically all designers have agreed that F1 car needs as much air going under the car as possible, and that is why they are making these ugly designs, as the regulations dictate that they have to have a nose this much in front of the front wheels this high from the ground and has to take atleast 10 square cm, this Ferraris desing would have some additional downforce at the front end of the nose, but it would be choking the air that would go under the car.
Maybe they found a way around it and will use this desing, it would be brilliant, as it looks the best, so... keep hoping :rolleyes:

No I meant the 2009 cars.. you know a lot of rules about aero and bodywork were changed for 2009 season, and that season has the ugliest cars (in general) I have ever seen since 1995.

But you have a point there, these cars are also more beatiful than 2012 cars.
 
The 2009 cars looked awesome, so did the 2012 car and so will this season's cars. This is what F1 is all about; innovation.
 
I wonder if the Ferrari nose is catching air and directing it under the car. All these designs are just to get the air back under the car, when the rules wanted to keep that from happening.

That Ferrari picture is quite ugly. IMHO
 
I have no doubt the racing will be incredible at the front. It always is.
While I dislike some of the new gimmicks (double points, etc...), I'm looking forward to the return of the turbos more so than any other piece of technology this year.
2014 begins my 43 season of followed this sport.
I can tell you without doubt "these are the ugliest front-ends I've ever seen on any F1 car."
It's ironic, because the back-ends are some of the prettiest.
Sure, they'll grow on fans over time...but let's be honest with ourselves.

It looks like the chute in the movie Aliens, where the eggs were distributed from.
I understand the need to bring the noses down to stop cockpit intrusions during accidents...but these are really, really ugly.
 
That Ferrari now almost looks like an opposite to safe, as there is no worry that the nose would blow another drivers head off in side crash, but it will go under the car like a shovel, and drive the Ferrairs drivers head right into the crashed car...

When the cars in your series allow this to actually be hilarious and not a difficult "if you look really close and think a certain way you can kinda sorta kinda get the joke" manner, you have failed.

2014 F1 cars = ugliest race cars ever IMHO. Just ridiculous looking.

Also - F14T. AKA, FIAT. And these ugly ass cars - I have to wonder, is the whole of F1 trolling everyone? lol

The ugliest thing about that McClaren is the absence of a main sponsor. With Vodaphone that team is going steadily down hill until they find another big sponsor.
