Rattling G27 with rFactor 1 <-- Yes, rFactor 1 (rFactor 2 is fine)

Galaga

Hello, I am running 1937 GP mod with Aintree, Brooklands, Vale, etc. and G27 is rattling so violently I am afraid my wheel is going to be damaged. There must be something I can do because this is a very popular mod and I can't imagine anyone running it with this level of rattling. Many thanks in advance :)

And other mods with the same steering settings run normal?
I ask because, when i remember right, that mod has no FFB muliplier in the *hdv's, so it should run without any rattling, when other mods do it.
Do you have a plugin running that affects the steering?

hello and thanks for reply. i have noticed that i do not have the problem with many tracks. seems like vale is the worst and longford is bad too but possibly because road surface is very bumpy but weird since these are epic and very popular tracks so i think best next step is to ask about those tracks specifically. good news is that there are dozens of excellent tracks that do work well. anyway thanks again for response.

Just change the ffb power in profiler, i change that very often depending on the car and track and setup

Use notepad to look in the tdf file for the track.
Sometimes it is possible to reduce some of the bump magnitudes and make the road surface feel smoother. Make a backup first though in case you make it feel worse, but it is well worth a go.
Look for lines like :

RoadDryGrip=1.00
RoadWetGrip=0.80
RoadmetalGrip=0.80
RoadDustGrip=0.90
RoadBumpAmp=0.007
RoadBumpLen=9.0
RumbleDryGrip=0.95
RumbleWetGrip=0.60
RumbleBumpAmp=0.010
RumbleBumpLen=8.0

MiscBumpAmp=0.08
MiscBumpLen=4.0

Lower down, you will find
BumpAmp=0.012 BumpWavelen=3.0

and many others. Just work your way through, reducing the bump size and/or length.

**Beware you will probably have an online mismatch so this is for offline only**

This has worked well for me on some tracks.

thanks for replies i will try them because vale is a great track so worth looking into. thanks again.

OK I did as you said and works perfectly! Now I can fix Longford too! :D
