Problem with TCS and ABS after using an xbox 360 wheel

Siranusthebrave

I recently set up my xbox 360 wheel, and tried to race with all of the assists turned off, but even though abs and traction control is turned off it seems to still be activated. When I slam on the brakes I can't lock a wheel and from a standing start I can't wheelspin, I have tried different cars on different tracks and I still can't seem to turn it off, has anyone else had this problem before?

You eventually have activated some driving aids. Look into the Customize/Settings/Difficulty screen.

Are your pedals working full force? check controller/pedals in rf settings, there are sliders, maybe they are only going x%
Same to double-check in windows I reckon.

..and you could also take a look into the ingame Settings/Controls controler1/2 axis-sensitivity settings.

Don't think wheel spin is possible with auto clutch.
Not familiar with xbox wheel, are the pedals 'analogue'?

Wheelspin should be possible with auto clutch though.

I always had bad bad starts,no wheelspin when using AC.
Was hard to get any revs up off the line, even when dipping the clutch.

Difference is/was I had a clutch.
Turn AC off and wheelspin galore and 100% better starts.

I can still apply full pressure to both pedals, they are working with full force, and I have increased the sensitivity and it is still like racing with abs and TCS on

Can you please give some more specific information?

Exactly which wheel do you have?
What car and track are you trying? (I know you might be trying a few...pick one that should work)

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_Wireless_Racing_Wheel This is the wheel I use
I have tried gt cars form the Blancpain endurance mod on eastern creek, bathurst, long beach, silver stone and laguna seca and have used p2 cars in the endurance racers mod like the porsche rs spyder on long beach and laguna seca, if I'm halfway through a corner and smash the throttle I should get wheelspin and go into a spin but the game only gradually applies throttle and when I slam on the brakes it only slightly locks the rears towards the end of the braking area, but it may be due to downshifting too quickly

They are definitely turned off in the difficulty settings and I have increased the sensitivity but it still won't work how I want it to

For the brakes, did you try it with setting the brakepressure value in the garage menu to a higher value?
I've tested the Lamborghini and with the default setting of 90% i also can't get it blocking.

But to get the wheels spin in corners, when i push the gas, is no problem with the defaults.

Do the wheels spin if you use the clutch, standing still, first gear engaged, rev up and let the clutch come suddenly?
