Probably a dumb question??

Chief

Being new to the RF1 world, and not the smartest guy when it comes to different programs.. I'm playing DWD and DLMS.. Trying to figure out how to get car skins to the program Gimp I have on my computer, paint it like I want and put it back on the game when I'm done... Easy for some to do I'm sure, not so much for me...:confused: Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

For painting skins I actually find Paint.NET (PaintdotNET) to be easier to use and has native support for .dds files.

If you look into most any car mod you will see some .veh files.
If you open these .veh files with notepad they list a line such as the one below:
DefaultLivery="Corvette_1999.dds"
The vehicle file denotes what carskin will be used.
So basically you make a new .veh file that calls out your new .dds carskin.
Look for a youtube like the one below for further help.

Note, if you make a new .veh file your mod will get a mismatch if playing online with others.
Or, if you are playing in a league, then everyone must have the same files as what is on the server.
