Online BAN duration

hello, I was banned from the server last night simply for successfully advancing the session to qualy (via voting).
this one guy got really annoyed he couldn't practice and proposed a ban on me which the 3 people voted yes to and 2 said no. I got banned and can't return due to the 'join timed out' message i now receive.
any tips on how to unban myself? how long does a ban last? :(
 
Bans last forever. To unban you have to have someone with full access to the server remove you from then ban file.
 
Nope. You have to contact the person that runs the server you are banned from. Problem is you normally have no clue where or how to reach the admin. If you could connect from a different IP address using a different name you may be able to talk to someone about how to contact the admin. But good luck with that. Bans are located on the server in <rFactorRoot>\UserData\Bans.txt.
