Multiplayer problems

Hi, not sure if this would be the right place to ask this question, but here it goes. when i host a room my friend can join but when he joins hes only viewing my car and he doesn't appear in the lobby. we both have clean installs of rfactor and have both done the port fwd things to the routers, in lobby chat i appear online but he appears grayed out. any help would be appreciated.

Seems as if he joins as a spectator.
Look at connection-settings if spectator-mode is on or off.

Have him add the -spectator option in the advanced tab in the launcher.

+spectator turns on spectator indefinitely. You have to use -spectator to turn it back off.
