FFB and rally world 2013

nolive721

Hello
New comer to rf1 from Japan here.
Recently built a gaming pc now installing racing games.
First experience with this game ever, I am running the lite version and started to add moods.
I have a first problem with rally world 2013 from drivingitalia, I can not see the name of this mod in pull down series menu only rally world 4.0 and only an handful of cars are actually available.
Looking in installation folders, the cars are there but can't see any way to load them in the game.....

Another issue is I am using a ps3 controller with motionjoy drivers emulating an a Xbox controller but I can get the ffb to work at all even playing with setting options available. The emulated controller is working well in any other games I am running like AC or Project cars.

Any help or advice is much appreciated!

I can't help with the Controler, because i use a G25.

But with the Mod...
It's correct if it shows up as "RALLYWORLD 4.0" in the Menu.
And it has just 5 Cars included into the Basic Installation.
But if you visit THIS Site, you see the additional Cars, that you also have to download, listed under "For download add-on ".

thanks for the quick feedback.i looked more carefully at the content of the vehicles folder and indeed the rest of vehicles listed files are very small so I will download the add-on as suggested.I got the files from drivingitalia indeed.

regrading the FFB, I have a logitech dfgt but it doesnt seem natively supported in Rfactor? i will give it a go over the week-end to see if it works

thanks again

You are welcome.
I guess the Logitech-Wheel should work with rFactor.
But when you use it, disconnect other Controlers if you run rfactor, that avoids you from having new peoblems.

answered my own question

needed to install additional specific feedback drivers available here http://lavendy.net/special/driver/xi/index.html why I have no clue because my controller was working well in other games....

then there is a bug in rfactor, you need to assign your controller in feedback settings as a joystick.if you do this as a gamepad then strength reset to zero once you leave the settings page.

i answered my own question, found some additional feedback drivers from here http://lavendy.net/special/driver/xi/index.html and set in rfactor again,it worked.
but there is a bug,you have to assign controller as a joystick not gamepad or it reset to zero

i also plugged in my DFGT wheel and it actualy is recognized and works damn well.....OMG the time I am going o spend now on my GAMING rig:eek:

I found additional ffb drivers for the PS3 controller I am using through xbox360 emulated software and it fixed the problem.

I gave my Logitech a go as well and its recognized with all settings including FFB. the very few races I have done I had been suffering with some heavy understeer though so it might have something to do with the steering rotation angle setting.

I will have to dig more into that issue when time permits but so far I am pleased that I have joined the party,it seems pretty good racing sim indeed and the community support with mods is really impressive
