Dedi management: how to find user ID/number?

I have a problem user in my league organisation that we wish to ban from using our rFactor servers, before our next race. He keeps popping up on our practice server but never for more than 10 seconds at a time, making it difficult to catch and ban him the traditional way, with the danger of him ruining some kind of official event in the near future.

Now, obviously I know his name and his IP, but it seems I need another unique number as in previous 'bans.txt' entries it is in the format of:

999.99.99.99 -12345 Joe Bloggs

It's the second part (-12345) that I am struggling to find out. It must be recorded somewhere? Can someone help?
 
There is one banned driver on my server. That number is recorded in bans.txt as -29569

I have no idea if that works for all drivers because I don't have s 2nd entry to compare with.
 
It works based on player name and id we give the player when the player file is first created on his machine.

Unique ID="-19535" // Helps to uniquely identify in multiplayer (along with name) if leaving and coming back

But of course with rF1 this info can be changed.
 
I realise this, but I can't see inside his machine :). I need to know from the dedi, and I take it there is no way of knowing.

So if a driver changes that ID in his PLR file he can't be banned?

In bans.txt we have IP, ID, Name. Which of those have to match to ban a driver? Is it any one parameter or all three that need to match?
 
All three it seems - tried just IP and driver name without success.
 
Not sure if this could work but would it be possible to ban the IP via the host?
The company/person actually running the dedi machine should be able to ban the IP from joining the entire domain.

It works for websites, not sure if the same for this kind of joins but maybe worth a shot.
If his IP is static that is.....
