Brooklands to be restored...

The old historic Brooklands race track is to get a multi-million pound face lift. I don`t think it`s going to be taken back to racing standards but great to see the old place being restored.

I know nothing about these old races but from the pictures DD posted it looks like the pinnacle of unsafe circuit racing fun. In the link that Brack shared it shows what could be made into a fun circuit if not more than just one. I'm not familiar with the original track at all so I would not know what is missing or added.

That pic of the car noticeably off the ground is crazy. The leather helmets, the lack of doors on some cars, its all crazy. I would drive one here but not in real life.
