Just purchased the game

TinoM

Hello,
Ive been playing Rfactor 2 for about 7 months now and really enjoy it. I just purchased Rfactor and I'm struggling on setting everything up. I am using a T300RS and cannot get the wheel setup properly. Anybody using this wheel, and can offer some help? Cheers!

From the main menu click on OPTIONS (bottom right of the main page)

Select the tab CONTROLS

Click LOAD

In the pop up toggle through and pick:
Thrustmaster T300RS Racing Wheel

Let me know if that worked :)

lol...ya that worked...but the FFB didnt:D

The FFB feels reversed, with no feel while turning but to strong going straight. I've messed with all the sliders but no luck. My next attempt was this realfeel plugin but man, there's a lot messing around to do. I was hoping there was a simpler way.

Hmm ok, did you check if maybe "Steering Help" is enabled. If it is you might want to turn it off.

I have a Logitech Driving Force GT and I normaly have to set the FFB strength to negative values to make it work (around -65). Also make sure that you have "Wheel" choosen under the tab Forcefeedback type. When you use the RealFeel plugin though with mods like Historix or CTDP you have to set the FFB strength back to positive values. Also check whether you have enbabled the force feedback effects for your controller. At default they are set to low or off IIRC.

In case you want to set up your wheel to the same degree of rotation as the game look into the controller.ini for the line "Steering Wheel Range". :)
