Insufficient video memory detected!

GuadalupeHidalgo

Hello,

I am trying to start rFactor 1 on my laptop, but as soon as I open rfactor.exe, an message saying "Insufficient video memory detected. A minimum of 64MB of free video memory required" It says press continue to play anyway, but after I hit continue, a second or two later the same message pops back up again, sticking me in an endless loop.

I'm not extremely tech savvy, but according to Windows I have 768MB of video Memory from an integrated graphics card and 8GB of RAM. I have no issue playing some newer and more graphic intensive games, so I don't see why my computer wouldn't be able to run rFactor. Any suggestions?

In your rFactor Installation-Folder you'll find a file called "rF Config.exe".
Run it and check if your Video-Card is shown correctly.

And on the Top of the rF Config-Window is shown the Version of the rF Config.exe (e.g.: v1.4, v1.5 or v1.8).
Please post which Version you have

Thanks for the quick response!

When I run rF Config I get the same insufficient video memory message, I don't see any video card info. It does say v1.8 in the title bar.

Hm, that don't sounds good.
Version 1.8 is the latest Version of the rF Config Tool, as far as i know.

If i remember right, Laptops are not really supported by rFactor and also onboard Grafic-Cards can cause Problems.

Try to contact ISI and send them the Specs of the Laptop: support@rfactor.net
They should be able to give a better answer.

Or try with "Google", normally such things did also happen to other People that use the same or similar Hardware.
