RF1 Lock up after 5 minutes

Strava

Last time I did a system upgrade ( new processor ) RF1 started locking up after about 5 minutes.
A quick google told me I needed to re-activate my license.
Did that and RF1 ran OK.

Just did another upgrade ( new hard drive ) and once again RF1 is locking up after about 5 minutes.
I got a new Product Key from ISI support and installed RF1 V1255G.
First run of 1255G asked for product code, seemed to accept it and RF1 ran OK for about 20 min.
But now it's back to locking up after 5 minutes.

Uninstall/reinstall RF1 1255G does not get me the activate screen and RF1 continues to lock up.

Any ideas???

How can I get 1255G to show me the activate screen again??

Activation/Licence found here:-
C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\.rFactor
Save the .rFactor folder somewhere safe, you can reuse it any time (until you upgrade hardware).
Delete it and you should be prompted for activation again.

Thanks for the quick reply MystaMagoo.
I forgot to mention that I am running WinXP.
Where would I find this ".rFactor" folder on WinXP?

Found it in
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\.rFactor

Deleted .rFactor folder
Start RF & enter key
RF runs OK for 20+ minutes
Exit & start RF and lock up after 5 minutes.
argh!

Weird stuff, I would assume rf locks you out the first second, not after 5 minutes, that makes no sense.
So maybe it is related to something else on your pc.

I would get an older version of rf, see if that works better, if it does you could try to update it with G.
