steering doesnt match onscreen

for some reason the steering in-game seems like its at a much higher rotation than my g27, which is set at 900 degrees. i feel like there's a simple setting i'm missing somewhere but can't find it...

Firstly is the "vehicle set" button active in your control settings?

thanks... unfortunately i dont see that setting..i am using the controller.ini config from the 'better ffb' thread if that helps at all.

im assuming this is under customize--settings--controls but i definitely dont see a vehicle set option. im pretty sure i recall that box in rf2 as well..

There is an entry at the controller.ini file which must match with your actual wheel range set at the logitech profiler:

Steering Wheel Range="900" // Degrees of rotation of in-game steering wheel

Are you using the original UI?

Selecting the Vehicle Set will match your own steering range to the car you are in at the time.

thank you, this is probably the problem. a mod i installed mustve changed the UI; unfortunately ive no idea which one. but ill figure it out & report back if it remains an issue. thanks again!

i think thats the default rf2 UI; i redownloaded rF and its the same interface as before...i dont see any option for set to vehicle.

Once again...open your controller.ini at UserData/your profile folder and change the following line!

There is an entry at the controller.ini file which must match with your actual wheel range set at the logitech profiler:

Steering Wheel Range="900" // Degrees of rotation of in-game steering wheel

sorry seb, i didnt see that post. my notifications seem to be hit & miss for some reason. i did actually do that, it works great for the car i really got the game for (honda nsx) but the bmw sig sauer (w.e its called...;D) is really messed up. i think i just have to read up more on the game as it is almost a decade old now.

Apologies for not seeing what category this thread was in, I posted a screen from rfactor 2 which has the option in the UI to match wheel range to the real car.

Sorry again for the confusion.
