Need Suspension Help, Please

Daveybird

Okay, so I used to mod NASCAR Heat. rFactor is not the same thing, as for NASCAR Heat there were a couple of good sites that anyone could turn to for help, and they had good tutorials, but with rF, it's much harder to look up help and the engine is much more complicated.

So I have a problem.

I got my dirt car in the game fine, but whenever I drive it, the tires look they have camber 90 degrees, or this:

The strange thing is, when the AI drives it, it's fine, the tires are where they're supposed to be, and they race.

I think it has something to do with the suspension pm file, because I swapped this car's suspension file with a ModLite (really small car) pm file, and all four tires were turned on their side.

How do I fix this?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Open your hdv file in a suspension viewer (Suspedit2 for rf also works for rf2) and see what is going on with the suspension arms. Maybe post a screenshot. I'm guessing you've transposed some coordinates in the pm, possibly the pushrod spindle/body in the hdv.

@Daveybird: sorry, but i have to ask why you open the same problem as second thread again and ignore the first.
Will you tomorrow open it the 3rd time?
Sometimes i don't understand people....

I don't know if new users get a mesage like "this thread will have to be proofed by an admin before release".
But i'm pretty sure that they get it.

And if not, OK, but seriously, 3 times opening a thread with the same problem?

Yeah, they probably do. But a couple of fairly experienced forum users also probably should have thought of it. So maybe cut him some slack?

*Edit: it's not like he's cross posted the same thread in different sections, which happens fairly regularly and no one seems to say much...

There simply was a lack of patience, i guess.

And i think help is easier to get when you can focus on one thread. ;)

But we're running out of topic now, also no good behaviour. :D

Sorry. I was a n00b. It did say that the thread had to be approved by an admin, and I got my problem solved. I've got another problem, and I post one thread on it.
