Download mod through public server

I would wish to begin the compliments for this Forum, simple, linear, very intuitive in complex, feature not simple to implement, we have one, but we need the dog hunting TO FIND THE POST, that we are interested, going on, I wanted put a question.
I am one of a tiny community that is beloved by rfactor, and some of us, reading here and there, have found a review that says that it can set a server in a way that, that, who is linked to it, while not having the mod, from the possibility you download it almost simultaneously with the use that (who has read it ca n't find more).
This can occur when, it is the Server that the user, have amended the file multiplayer.ini allocated in the folder of your account, the latter inside userdata.
The change is exactly the 37 in the heading "request autodownloads=" 0 "" Obviously setting" 1 "instead of" 0 "should make the Download of mod missing to user so that it can enable entering and play.
Our community has the possibility to have a public server, and therefore having implemented these changes, and found that this above described not the case, I wanted to know if you, first, you know of this possibility and secondly, if you only change that "1" and that "0", or, if we need changes because this mechanism functions.

Hi Emilio ... I am not sure if I understand you correctly cause your writings are a little strange *upps* (like you said you were using a translator)! Are you guys looking for an opportunity to synchronize your dedicated server installation down to the participating clients in your league?

Yes a little confusing here also
I think he is saying or asking
That if when someone jions his server but do's not have the mod or track they are using can the server be setup that said driver can download the mod or track at
Durring that session.
I think it can be setup that way kinda but man that takes a lot of bandwitdth.

BTW, i just replied to your question in the DINet thread you did open.

For the english language people, i dont think the Auto Download feature is implemented in rFactor.
 
if its not do'able because of the bandwidth issue. can the server send the links for the mod and track ?
 
I guess you are right Max, I've tried that too, but couldn't make it work ... so to accomplish this functionality I made a wrapper for WinSCP and came up with this VMXSync. All you need is your own FTP Server including a little knowledge of how to manage/administer that thingy and there you go ...

I'm sure it is not implemented as well as it's better for all of us.
Download missing tracks (often about 100MB per track) or cars (even GBytes) would kill server bandwidth. More over would be probably common to wait for someone who is downloading content.
It is not the same as in other games where 'heavy' content like textures, sounds, objects is installed on clients and server provide only scripts for download (ie Arma2)
